Connecting Threads

The  Lincoln Art Center will feature an exhibit of selected works by Shawn Delker, Salina, KS, and also the Lincoln Quilt Guild. The opening reception will be held at the Lincoln Art Center on Friday, January 12 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and the show will run through February 24, 2024.

Shawn Delker is a quilt artist who learned the joy of sewing from her mother and has been stitching ever since. Shawn has been juried in shows in Topeka and Omaha, and is a frequent exhibitor at many local and regional galleries. She received third place in the Fiber Art Festival in Albuquerque, NM. Her current work includes botanic printing and thread painting.

The Lincoln Quilt Guild has inspired local quilters to meet at the local quilt shop on Saturdays and the third Thursdays at the Methodist Church to share ideas and work on their projects. This group will exhibit their latest works for this event.

The art center is open Tuesday – Friday Noon to 4:00 and Saturday 9:00 – Noon. For more information call 785-524-3241 or email lincolnartcenter@att.net, visit our facebook page, or website lincolnartcenter.org.
