January 10th, 2020 – Day #1: We are starting on the flooring project thanks to a grant from Dane G. Hansen Foundation and Post Rock Community Foundation! Volunteer work will match the grant. First up, paint the walls, then start moving pedestals and packing art work. Exciting time for the art center!
January 13th, 2020 – A little more painting to do, then start on the floor project!
January 14th, 2020 – Thanks to a grant from Dane G. Hansen Foundation and Post Rock Community Foundation we are getting a new floor! Volunteers have moved pedestals and artwork, now we are painting the walls and stripping the floor. And most importantly, a volunteer encouraged us and baked chocolate chip cookies…Yea! Progress is being made!
February 5th – We are still working on the floor, but we are getting closer to a new look!
February 15th – Work continues on the floor at the Lincoln Art Center, thanks to a grant from the Post Rock Community Foundation & Dane G. Hansen Foundation. The volunteers are so valuable to the project! The reason for the art center….notice theĀ little artist playing while dad & grandpa work on the floor!
February 19th, 2020 – We were on the floor! Progress is being made thanks to these dedicated volunteers. The sweet finish to the day was a MarCon pie!
February 21st, 2020 – We got a couple more volunteers to work on the floor at the art center. Thanks to Post Rock Community Foundation and the many volunteers!
February 23, 2020 – We are almost at the finish line! The floor is nearly done thanks to the dedicated volunteers….a couple slipped away from the camera. Another week or so and it should be a wrap! YEA!
February 29, 2020 – We ran into a little more fun, but it’s soon to be on the mend!
