The Lincoln Art Center will feature an exhibit of selected works by Bambi Freeman, ceramics, and the drawings of the late Robert Joy in March and April. The opening reception will be held at the Lincoln Art Center on Friday, March 14 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The exhibit will run through April 26, 2025.
Bambi Freeman received a BFA in interior design and ceramics from Fort Hays State University. She was born in Ellinwood and spent countless hours in the surrounding woods. This may be the reason she feels so passionate about Mother Nature and her many gifts. The theme of her ceramic work often revolves around nature, ranging from flowers and plant life, as well as animals and occasionally the human figure.
Robert Joy passed away March 28, 2023. He received his master’s degree in art from Fort Hays State University. Robert was an artist in residence at the Shafer Art Gallery in Great Bend, and displayed his artwork at numerous art galleries in the area.
The artists will speak at 6:15 p.m. and visit with guests. Refreshments will be served.
The art center is open Tuesday through Friday from noon to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to noon. For more information call 785-524-3241 or email lincolnartcenter@att.net, visit our Facebook page, or website lincolnartcenter.org.
