Chaotic Neutral

The Lincoln Art Center will feature a new exhibit in September and October, entitled “Chaotic Neutral.” The exhibit includes selected works by Mike Miller, and Rachel Curtis, both of Towanda, KS. The opening reception will be Friday, September 13 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and the show will run through October 26, 2024.

Mike Miller taught at Bethel College, Newman University, and Wichita State University. He has exhibited his sculpture and machines in numerous regional galleries including Ulrich Museum of Art.

“There are two types of machines, human made and natural machines. For instance, trees are natural machines that create and absorb oxygen, man-made machines created the printing press, the smart phone, etc.”

Rachel Curtis teaches visual art at Butler Community College. Rachel received her BFA from Kansas State University, and her MFA from Wichita State University. Rachel shows her work nationally, and was recently awarded a solo show at the Wichita Art Museum entitled “Dissolution”. She has participated in group exhibits from Massachusetts to California.

The artists will speak at 6:15 p.m. and visit with guests. Refreshments will be served.
